A Most Curious Christmas Kids Fair
Many Hands is excited to be part of the follow up to the hugely successful Most Curious Baby Fair that took place this Summer. The Most Curious team put on design-led, hand-made and fashion forward events for individuals and families with style on their minds. It will be the prefect place to buy those unique Christmas gifts for the little ones. We will be selling our beautiful products and prints, including some newly created pieces, alongside over 50 amazing shops and brands.
If that isn’t enough for you there will also be a vintage tea room, Mexican wrestling mask and Christmas decoration making workshops and of course an amazing Grotto!
All this will be taking place at the York Hall in Bethnal Green (E2 9PJ), this Sunday 2nd December, from 10.30am to 4.30pm. It will be £2 entry and free for under 16s.

Many Hands artist Stone and Spear will be taking part in an upcoming exhibition curated by contemporary British watchmakers Uniform Wares. As well as Stone and Spear the exhibition will showcase work by Anthony Burrill, James Joyce and Jack Featherstone, with each illustrator creating a print inspired by a ‘pivotal moment’ in time. The results will be displayed next to one of Uniform Wares’ beautiful watches, with the hands set to reflect the hour the artist has illustrated. Running throughout the London Design Festival, which begins tomorrow, this show is definitely worth your time. : )

‘China Snuff’ - Sister Arrow / Riso Print
I think, of my own work, I like China Snuff the best. Maybe it’s because it’s my newest, but I’m also obsessed with snuff bottles at the moment. It also involves an interesting combination of processes, because it’s a risograph print with two layers of screen print on top, one green and one pink gloss, which is really subtle.
‘The Room’ - Ryan Todd (Silk Screen Print)
I love The Room by Ryan Todd, because the more you look at it the more you see, like the enormous light switch, and the leg in the window, and look, there’s a banana in the cabinet! It’s quite subversive and playful at the same time, plus it’s a great use of colour on a coloured paper background.
“Fishermen” (2012) - Matthew the Horse / Riso Print
Fisherman by Matthew the Horse (part of Pick Me Up Selects) is a beautiful example of Matthew’s ability to capture and recreate the character of humans. I’ve always loved his work, and I particularly like this piece because of the dimples and the idiosyncrasies of the people. When I was a little girl in Cornwall I always thought I’d marry a fisherman, because they’re hairy and they smoke pipes, plus I like the sea and I like fish, so I like it for that reason as well!
